A new integer programming formulation of the graphical traveling salesman problem

چکیده
In the Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP), a salesman wants to visit set of cities and return home. There is cost $$c_{ij}$$ traveling from city i j, which same in either direction for Symmetric TSP. The objective each exactly once, minimizing total travel costs. Graphical TSP, may be visited more than necessary on sparse graph. We present new integer programming formulation TSP requiring only two classes polynomial-sized constraints while addressing an open question proposed by Denis Naddef. generalize one these classes, promising preliminary computational results.

متن کاملTeaching Integer Programming Formulations Using the Traveling Salesman Problem
We designed a simple computational exercise to compare weak and strong integer programming formulations of the traveling salesman problem. Using commercial IP software, and a short (60 line long) MATLAB code, students can optimally solve instances with up to 70 cities in a few minutes by adding cuts from the stronger formulation to the weaker, but simpler one.
متن کاملNew Integer Programming Formulations of the Generalized Travelling Salesman Problem
The Generalized Travelling Salesman Problem, denoted by GTSP, is a variant of the classical travelling salesman problem (TSP), in which the nodes of an undirected graph are partitioned into node sets (clusters) and the salesman has to visit exactly one node from every cluster. In this paper we described six distinct formulations of the GTSP as an integer programming. Apart from the standard for...
متن کاملA Mixed Integer Programming Formulation for the Heterogeneous Fixed Fleet Open Vehicle Routing Problem
The heterogeneous fixed fleet open vehicle routing problem (HFFOVRP) is one of the most significant extension problems of the open vehicle routing problem (OVRP). The HFFOVRP is the problem of designing collection routes to a number of predefined nodes by a fixed fleet number of vehicles with various capacities and related costs. In this problem, the vehicle doesn’t return to the depot after se...
